🎨  Case Study: AIMM Poster Campaigns – Multi-Concept Print Series

🧠  Objective
To attract prospective students to AIMM by crafting a series of visually arresting, thematically varied posters that blend humor, metaphor, and bold design. Each piece was tailored to resonate with a specific aspect of musical education or cultural relevance, while reinforcing the school’s creative, modern, and professional identity.

🎨  Concept & Creative Approach
Each poster in the series functioned as a standalone visual concept, unified by tone, typographic style, and strategic branding. Collectively, they delivered layered messages about musicianship, self-worth, technology integration, and career readiness — often through wordplay, cultural references, or visual metaphors.

🖼️  Posters & Themes:

  • "Eye Chart"
    A music-theory twist on the Snellen eye exam chart.
    Message: “Trouble Reading? Not For Long.”
    Purpose: Reinforces AIMM’s strength in sight reading and notation through a reimagined Snellen chart.

  • "Take Your Pick"
    A spread of genre-labeled guitar picks encourages exploration.
    Message: “Take Your Pick.”
    Purpose: Promotes versatility in AIMM’s guitar curriculum.

  • "Lock Down the Gig"
    Padlocks and road cases metaphorically position AIMM as the key to success.
    Message: “Lock down the gig with the perfect combination of music and technology.”
    Purpose: Emphasizes AIMM’s integration of tradition and tech.

  • "Breast Cancer Awareness"
    A pink TT patch cable forms the iconic ribbon — no text needed.
    Message: Silent solidarity.
    Purpose: Positions AIMM as socially aware without diluting the brand.

  • "A Cut Above the Rest"
    Scissors snipping atop a musical rest symbol in a riddle-like visual pun.
    Message: “A cut above the rest.”
    Purpose: Created for Facebook engagement and contests.

  • "Smokin’ Technique"
    Burned drumsticks with smoke effects exaggerate musical intensity, speed, and prowess.
    Message: “Smokin’ Technique. Get it here.”
    Purpose: Promotes AIMM’s percussion program with flair.

  • "Spotify Riddle"
    A phonetic pun on the word “Spotify” challenges perceived worth in the music industry.
    Message: “Profits might prove difficult to spot if I let others determine my worth.”
    Purpose: Encourages students to know their value.

  • "Punch In"
    Classic punch clock vs. DAW interface highlights dual career paths.
    Message: “Make money punching in and out on either device. Your choice.”
    Purpose: Reinforces music as a viable profession.
